Please plan to join the Society, in collaboration with The Eire Society of Boston, and Harvard University, for a convivial event on February 5th to honor this iconic Bostonian and to learn more from City of Boston Archivist, John McColgan, about the "rough and tumble" politics of the Bay State and Boston in the 20th century.  His talk is entitled "Repeal or Relief:  Boston's Aid to Ireland at the Onset of the Famine."

We will also be hearing from Catherine B. McKenna, Chair Department of Celtic Languages and Literature, Dr. Catherine B. Shannon, as well as Henry Lee, Past President of the Charitable Irish Society about Henry Lee Shattuck's other contributions to the emerging Irish Society.

Free parking will be available at the Broadway Garage, 7 Felton Street,
Cambridge, MA.

When registering online for this event, please also indicate if you plan to

park at the Broadway Garage by clicking on the free parking checkbox.
